All About Dance! By Kristen has prepared the following information for parents to read and refer to concerning the regulations, studio policies, and payment procedures. Please make your children aware of the policies that apply to them. Thank you for your cooperation.

Regulations

All students are expected to be on their best behavior. Courtesy and respect will be shown by our staff and will be expected in return.

Punctuality is important to your child’s success. All classes will start on time. If students are to steadily progress, they must attend regularly, be on time, and practice at home. If your child must miss a lesson, it is your responsibility to notify the desk. If a make up class is necessary, the parent or student will be informed.

All students must use the provided locker area for storing coats and other belongings. Please store street shoes in the space provided under the locker area. Make sure all belongings are labeled with your child’s name, so that they may be returned if left in the studio. Refrain from leaving purses, money, and any valuables in the locker area. If you wish to rent an enclosed locker for the year, you may do so at the courtesy desk. For further information, please see item #13 on the Tuition Payment Policy document. The studio will have a lost and found container, but its unclaimed contents will be given to the less fortunate every two months.

Only Student Assistants will be permitted in the student assistant area.

Please keep the studio clean by returning things to their proper place and by using the trash containers. There is NO SMOKING in the waiting area. NO GUM CHEWING is permitted while in the studio. FOOD AND DRINK are to remain ONLY in the lunchroom.

Inclement Weather Cancellation Policy

The studio will be closed weekdays during our daytime hours (9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.) when the Stow-Munroe Falls School System closes due to inclement weather. The cancellation of our evening classes (3:30 p.m. and later) will be determined by 2:00 p.m. that day. All About Dance is a member of the WKYC-TV 3 I-Alert school cancellation system. Cancellation information can be found by tuning to WKYC-TV 3 or WEWS-TV5. The entire list of alternate radio and internet information sources can be found on our website (www.allaboutdancebykristen.com).
The studio will be closed on Saturday for 9:00am to 9:55am classes when announced on WKYC-TV3 I-Alert, WEWS-TV5 or any of their affiliates by 7:45am that morning. The cancellation of ALL Saturday classes will be posted at 10:00am if inclement weather persists. Closure can also be viewed on the following alternate news systems of WKYC and WEWS.

Observation Week

Parents are invited and encouraged to observe their child’s progress during our special Parent Observation Weeks during October, December and January. (See our web calendar for exact dates.) Due to limited space, we ask that only two visitors per family attend visitor’s day (one parent + one visitor = two people per family). Children will NOT be permitted in the classroom if they cannot sit and remain quiet.

Attendance

We encourage your child to regularly attend their scheduled classes. However, should your child become ill, or have a previous obligation, therefore they will not be attending class, we ask that you please notify the studio ahead of time. You may call or email the office. If you choose to make up the missed class, you may stop by the courtesy desk to recieve a make-up class card.

Questions concerning your child’s progress are welcomed. Please feel free to set up an appointment with the instructor.

Parents, we ask your cooperation in keeping your younger children (those not attending class) quiet and well attended. The dance studio is a learning environment where unnecessary noise and distractions detract from both the classroom and waiting area.
