Contemporary, Pointe, Jazz
Jennifer began her dancing career in Northeast Ohio at the age of three. She loved being on stage and being able to share her gift of dance until she found how rewarding teaching can be. She has 22 years teaching experience with a focus on Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, Modern, Contemporary, and Ballet Conditioning at colleges, studios, and Master Class work.
She graduated Magna Cum Laude and received her B.A. in Dance from The University of Akron along with earning a Bachelor of Business from Kent State University as well. In addition to her collegiate experience, she has as a certification In Beyond Barre Fitness Program, has attended several years of the Broadway Dance Center Teacher Training Program, and she was a Teaching Artist working with second and third grade students to connect movement to Geography.
Jennifer has been awarded several honors such a Best Choreography for several pieces at different competitions as well as Overall High Score awards. She also has adjudicated auditions for college, studios, and professional dance organizations. Currently, she is a Part-Time Faculty member in The University of Akron’s Dance Department, she teaches morning Barre Fitness classes, teaches/choreographs all genres of dance in the dance studio setting, and will be choreographing for the University of Akron Dance Company concert this fall. Jennifer is looking forward to new opportunities in dance and feels blessed to be a part of the northeast Ohio dance community
